July-August 2005

Hello to all,

I am combining our July/August newsletter into one

We will be having our August 8 meeting at 7pm usually place 9200 113th St N that is the Seminole Library St. Pete College Campus. This will be a gatekeeper training meeting plus I hope we will have time for talking about our upcoming September 18th event.

If you don’t know what the September 18th event is, it takes place all over the world at the same time. For us fortunately that is 12:30 pm. We will have it at our favorite spot South Beach of Madeira Beach.

Evening of Remembrance

If you missed the “Evening of Remembrance” on July 9th you missed a good time. As always no matter how the weather is it always gives us a break so we can have our vigil. This year was no exception. We had some hearty souls there remembering their loved ones. Carmen and Jack Cassidy from Brooksville remembering there daughter Patty. And all the way from Signal Mountain, TN., Holland Rainey remembering her son Nick along with her daughter Madeline remembering her brother Nick and her dad Corbett. Their friend, Peggy Smith, was with them. There were plenty of locals there too. We couldn’t blow bubbles the wind was to strong, but we tried. We had to get in a semi circle or be sandblasted as we tried to light our candles. We did get to read We Remember Them and had lots of love and hugs to go around.

Please click here to  see our pictures. We had 50 people attend.

If you would like an event t-shirt, we have plenty to sell we asking a bare min of $10 to cover our expense. However, if you can give more we would deeply appreciate that also.

After having the last 2 events during hurricanes I will be asking for a rain date from now on. I will also start collecting proclamations as I have the last couple years.

SPANUSA Conference

September will be a busy month for me. I will be taking our banner to be put on display reflection pond in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. For SPANUSA conference. In the mean time, please click Speak up for suicide prevention to sign the SPANUSA petition.

Order your T-Shirts!

Please call or email me with orders for our wonderful July 9th t-shirts. Not only are they a beautiful memorial to our loved ones with the 1-800 suicide hot line number on the front you never know whose life you may be touching. I wore it at the Orlando airport recently and lots of people read it.

Hope to see you in August.

Please call or email me anytime with questions comments and ideas to share our message.

Blessing to all
